Joris Relaes
Administrator-general ILVO
Joris Relaes holds a master’s degree in bio-engineering with a focus on agricultural economics from KU Leuven. He serves as an advisor to several Flemish and Federal Ministers of Agriculture. Since 2014, he has held the position of Administrator-General at ILVO, the Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food. Additionally, since 2013, he has served as a lecturer at KU Leuven on Agricultural Policy. Joris Relaes also holds the position of President at the Centre for Agrarian History in Flanders.

Gert van Duinkerken leads Wageningen Livestock Research. Furthermore, he coordinates the Feed4Foodure program, a public-private partnership that focuses on sustainable animal nutrition. Previously, he headed the Animal Nutrition Department at this institute and held positions as chairman of the Animal Nutrition Committee at the EAAP (European Association of Animal Production). He was also a member of EAAP’s scientific committee.

Marco De Mik
Senior Consultant Swine at Schothorst Feed Research
Marco De Mik, with expertise in veterinary medicine and animal nutrition, began his career as a swine nutritionist at Agruniek before joining Cargill Animal Nutrition. At Cargill, he specialized in premix formulation, international swine feed formulation, and high-quality piglet diets. For over six years, Marco has been instrumental at SFR, supporting global clients by utilizing the SFR ingredient database, formulating feeds, offering nutritional recommendations, and providing training. In 2022, Marco accepted a prestigious residency at the European College of Veterinary Comparative Nutrition.
